                报告摘要(Abstract): Life can thrive in a large variety of extreme environments on the Earth, from deep underground to asteroid and comet impact craters. By investigating this life, we gain insights into how the boundaries of life are shaped by physical and chemical extremes. This information, as well as yielding fundamental insights into life on Earth, can help us assess the habitability of extraterrestrial environments, such as Mars and the icy moons. I will describe our research and what insights we have gained about life at its limits.
